Upswing – The energy and elegance of gypsy jazz
The Upswing band is a flexible gypsy jazz band, able to adapt its formation and repertoire to the atmosphere and type of event.
From duo to quintet, Upswing can also turn into a true swing dance band, designed to accompany lindy hop, balboa and other swing dancers. The lineup can include two guitarists, saxophone, double bass and percussion to offer a rich, energetic sound especially suited to dancing.
Used to performing at dance schools, swing balls, festivals and events in the Lille region and the North, Upswing knows how to play with the codes of swing to offer music that is authentic, lively and catchy.
A flexible and modular formation, able to go from an intimate gypsy jazz concert to a festive swing ball, while keeping the musical identity and energy that are Upswing’s signature.

Swinging Gentlemen – Swing in quintet, with vocals and drums
The band regularly performs at concerts and swing balls in Lille and the North. Fans of lindy hop and balboa can come and dance to the rhythm of lively, warm and festive jazz.
Their repertoire draws on Django Reinhardt’s gypsy jazz, jazz standards and great French songs. What also sets the band apart is the presence of a singing double bassist, who brings an original vocal dimension to the songs and enriches the band’s sound with his voice as much as with his bass playing.
Between instrumental jazz and vocal jazz, the band blends tradition and modernity with elegant arrangements, infectious energy and an atmosphere that invites both listening and dancing.

Swing Me Baby – Swing reimagines the great pop standards
The band Swing Me Baby, based in Lille, offers an offbeat swing ball full of surprises, where great jazz standards meet today’s hits revisited in the swing spirit.
Inspired by the world of the 1930s and 40s, big bands and jazz clubs, the band revisits swing classics while having fun turning current pop songs into true swing numbers, in the spirit of Postmodern Jukebox. An original way to rediscover well-known songs in a whole new light, with energy made for dancing.
Whether you are a fan of lindy hop, balboa or simply curious to discover swing, Swing Me Baby creates a festive, elegant and accessible atmosphere, where jazz and dance become one.

Sparkly Swing Band – A mini big band for an explosive swing atmosphere
The Sparkly Swing Band revives the spirit of the great big bands of the golden age of swing, in a reduced-size formation designed to keep all the energy and elegance of the large ensembles.
With a repertoire inspired by swing standards and 1930s-40s jazz, the band offers dynamic, generous music, ideal for swing dances and dance events. From the first notes, the brass, driving rhythms and typical big-band arrangements naturally invite dancers onto the floor.
A lighter formula than a traditional big band, but one that keeps its spirit, groove and energy, to get fans of lindy hop, balboa and other swing dances dancing.
The Sparkly Swing Band performs notably in the Lille region and in Hauts-de-France for balls, festivals, dance parties and private events.

New to swing dance? No need to be an experienced dancer to get started! We also offer swing introductions, led by a couple of passionate and experienced professional dancers.
They will introduce you to the basic steps, essential movements and principles of partner dancing, in a friendly atmosphere accessible to all.
Whether you are a complete beginner or already a dancer, these introductory lessons help you quickly gain confidence and fully enjoy your swing dance. A great way to discover the joy of dancing to swing music and to hit the dance floor from the very first notes!
Swing dance demonstrations:
To enrich your swing dance, we can also offer a demonstration by professional dancers. A great way to introduce the audience to the world of swing and to create a real moment of spectacle in the middle of the evening.
The dancers showcase all the richness of Lindy Hop, Balboa or Charleston, with footwork, figures, improvisation and great couple rapport. Their demonstration also helps spectators better understand the link between live music and swing dance.
Swing is above all a dance of sharing, listening and improvisation. Each couple can develop their own style, play with the rhythms and converse with the music. A demonstration is therefore a chance to show all the energy, creativity and freedom that make swing so charming.
It can be integrated at different moments of your event to create a visual and friendly highlight, before letting the guests take the floor in turn.
